Spirituality is the lifelong journey of awakening to something greater than ourselves through love, compassion, presence, and inner wisdom

Trusting the Flow: Surrendering to Divine Timing and Life’s Natural Rhythm

There is a quiet current guiding my life, one that I am learning to trust more deeply. As I surrender to its rhythm, it carries me toward the people, places, and experiences meant for my growth. When I stay aligned with this flow, everything unfolds in divine timing. At times, the pace of the universe does not mirror the urgency of my ego. When my plans stall, I am learning to rest in trust.

Every time I’ve tried to push or hurry what was still ripening, life has reminded me — the bloom unfolds when it’s ready. There was a time when anxiety became my saboteur — when striving too hard led me to exhaustion and illness.

Whispers To The Soul – When the Soul Whispers No

I smile, yes, while my soul whispers no.

When the soul whispers no.

There have been many times I said yes when I needed to have said no—too worried about what others might think, too afraid of seeming selfish.

When I was seventeen, I got married. Not because I was ready, but because I wanted to escape the chaos at home. My father offered an alternative path—a car, an apartment, and the opportunity to study veterinary medicine in college.

But back then, I couldn’t imagine choosing myself. So I said yes to a life that wasn’t mine, and in doing so, I hurt someone who had loved me deeply.

The Power of Belief: How Faith and Superstition Shape Our Lives

From ages 11 to 17, while living with my father and stepmother, faith was rarely spoken of in our home.

George and I had been baptized Episcopalian; my father, though raised in an Italian Catholic family, had long since abandoned belief. During the years we lived with our grandparents, church and confession every Sunday were simply part of life. My stepmother, also raised Catholic, never went to church at all. Their two sons were never baptized, and I was never sure about my stepsister. Though my father declared himself an atheist, he still permitted me to attend services and even spend summers at Bible school.

Yet when I once asked him about the stories I was […]

Trust Your Intuition: A Spiritual Guide to Authentic Relationships

Trust Your Intuition in Life and Relationships

Intuition is that quiet inner voice within you—the one that gently points you toward truth.

Sometimes it arrives as a sudden insight, a vivid dream, a gut feeling, or an unexplainable sense. Other times, it speaks through the subtle signals your body sends.

Pause and ask yourself:

How do I feel around this person? Am I calm, energized, uneasy, or drained? Does this decision feel light in my body, or does it create tension and heaviness?

Your intuition is powerful. Learning to listen to it can guide you toward what feels right and protect you from what does not.

Still, it’s common to […]

Grateful Living: A Path Beyond Entitlement, Scarcity, and Fear

Grateful living – it rests with us to shape our words into vessels of gratitude, using whatever tools we hold to speak thanks again and again.

Each time we choose gratitude—in every place, in every way—we soften the weight of fear and anxiety woven into us by the voices of the world.

Let’s remind this generation, and those that follow, how effortless it can be to notice blessings.

Otherwise, entitlement grows unchecked—an epidemic of the spirit.

We live within an economic system and a culture of messaging designed to keep us craving, comparing, consuming, and judging. These forces create discontent, binding us to illusions of scarcity and separateness, regardless of how much we already possess.

We are taught to mask our truth—pretending we have more […]

How Morning Gratitude Turned My Toughest Mornings into Peaceful Days

By 6 a.m., it was already hot. Not “open the window” hot—revenge of the sun hot.

The kind of heat that shows up early to ruin your mood. I’d barely slept.

Fireworks were going off until 2 a.m.—because my neighborhood thinks Independence Day should last all year.

Every time I started to drift off—BOOM—another celebration of liberty right outside my window.

By morning, my patience was gone, my hair was a mess, and my face had that “don’t talk to me” setting firmly locked in.

Now here’s the part that kills me: the year before, I joined a group of women who meditate at sunrise.

Sunrise. […]

When Someone Shows You Who They Are, Believe Them

I woke at 5 a.m., my heart aching and my mind swirling around a lesson life keeps teaching me: when someone reveals their true self, believe them.

Don’t dismiss the way someone treats you—it’s telling you everything you need to know.

When they act as though you don’t matter, believe them. When they consistently put someone else ahead of you, it’s because they believe you’re not their priority.

When they focus on what’s “wrong” with you, believe that is truly how they see you.

A person’s actions reveal the truth behind their words. They show where their loyalty truly lies and whether you hold a place of priority in their life. Sometimes the truth […]

Embracing Empathy and Intuition

As I prepare to honor 72 years of life on this earth, I continue a tradition of giving myself a gift. Not a gift of a thing, an event, or a place—but a sacred gift.

On the first day of my 73rd year, I will step into a magical twenty-four hours, opening a wide portal to new beginnings and fresh possibilities.

This year’s gift is the way I choose to see myself: as a deeply empathetic and intuitive soul.

I will take quiet moments to reflect on these blessings—my compassion, creativity, depth, intuition, and the unwavering desire to make the world better.

I will allow myself to feel their worth truly.

Standing at […]
